Foreword

Arul Trust eV Support Association

We have a wonderful world, a world that is inherently full of harmony.

The sun that rises every day, the mountains, the air to breathe and the water.

The flowers in the meadows, the birds in the sky, the animals in the forest and us humans: we all have a wonderful world.

However, this world is also destroyed by people's selfishness, hatred, lack of peace and profit maximization.

The world is divided into rich and poor, into weak and strong, into power and powerlessness.

People, animals and our nature: everyone suffers because a part of humanity wants to devour this world only for their own ends.

Through this greed, people are destroying our world: millions of people go to sleep every day without having eaten anything. Millions of people and animals do not have clean drinking water. Millions of people live in regions where the air is not clean.

What can we do?

Can we just look away, live our own lives and ignore everything else? No, we should each make a personal contribution so that our efforts make this world a little better.

Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew: "Whatever you did for one of the least of these my brothers, you did for me."

God himself takes the side of the poor, the needy and the neglected.

The God of the Christians is a God who stands by the side of the outcasts without any ifs or buts.

If this world can become a little better through our actions, then we are God's helpers, then we are people who have a heart for other living beings. If we contribute to creating a fairer and cleaner world through our donations and our commitment, then we are true human beings.

Especially in times of globalization, in which the entire world economy is interconnected, the injustices are becoming ever more obvious. The weak and those affected are often unable to defend themselves: they remain silent and have no voice.

We see this problem very clearly in India too. Despite its unique nature and numerous natural resources, large parts of the population in India have to suffer from hunger and thirst. This is due to the lack of social and professional prospects and the lack of financial security. This is why Dr. Balajee Ramachandran, Prof. Dr. Raziya Parvin and myself (Pastor Arul Lourdu) have jointly established the "Arul Arakkattalai" foundation (in English "Foundation of Grace"). All three of us belong to different religions (Hinduism, Islam and Christianity), but we are united by the vision of wanting to improve the living conditions of the people in India.

"Arul Arakkattalai" wants to tackle a variety of projects. We want to help everyone who is in need there - as far as we have the means to do so. We can only achieve this if we enable people to help themselves. It is of the utmost importance that we encourage people - especially in these poor regions - to stand up for their rights. We also want to open up real opportunities for the future by providing education and initiate efforts to give women equal rights, give the sick a way back to life and much more.

But in order to make all of these plans a reality, we need the financial means to do so. That is why over a hundred private individuals and companies in Germany alone have come together and founded the "Arul Trust" support association in their belief in the foundation's humanitarian goals. Perhaps you would also like to support our project with a donation and/or membership.

All our activities are transparent and we will regularly publish the use of funds on this homepage.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the board members: Deacon Christian Sych and Pastor Manfred Weida (Protestant, retired) for their willing commitment.

I would also like to thank the secretary, Ms. Daniela Krüger, and the committee representatives, Ms. Silvia Sych and Ms. Petra Friedberger-Kunz.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all other members for their friendly and important support.

We are very happy that together we can bring something good into the world through this service. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Yours, Arul Lourdu, Pastor
