The Trustees of Arul Arakkattalai meet at least once in every three calendar months (offline or online) for a year in order to transact business and the rules made thereunder. The meetings aimed to review the nature of the trust assets, and ensure that we are complying with any necessary changes in legislation or regulations. Most importantly, the meetings are convened in order to consider the beneficiaries' needs, and assess how the trust might assist them, or whether it's best to retain funds for future use. Trust Minutes which are of three categories such as Action minutes, Discussion minutes and Verbatim minutes are used to provide a record of resolutions and / or decisions that were made under a trust deed.

With the nation's 77th Independence Day celebrations, on the horizon, our trust took the reins to organize an event in association with the QMC Women’s Champion Club that would resonate with the spirit of freedom and expression. And in commemoration of this occasion, we chose to celebrate not just the past, but also the unsung heroines who adorned the tapestry of Tamil Nadu's freedom struggle. On the 14th of August, 2023 as anticipation tingled in the air, the campus of Queen Mary’s College, Chennai where knowledge thrived buzzed with a different kind of energy. Young women from various departments of this institution converged with ideas, stories, and perspectives to be unfurled onto paper.
The theme - "Unsung Women Heroines of Freedom Struggle in Tamil Nadu" - was a rallying call for the participants to dive into the annals of the past, resurrect the forgotten tales of courage, and etch them anew in the collective memory. With each stroke of the pen, the young women embarked on a journey through time. On the whole, around 70 students participated in the competition. Cash prizes were given to the first two places both in English and Tamil. During the Independence Day Celebrations in the College, the Principal Dr. B. Uma Maheswari gave away the prizes. The first prizes were given to Ms. Joshika of B.A. Sociology and Ms. Priyadharshini of B.A. History. And the second prizes were given to Ms. Tiripuralakshmi of B.A. History and Ms. Princy of B.Com (CS). All the participants were given the Participant Certificates. On the fateful day of 14th September, 2023, young Harinisha was rushed to the Indus Hospital in Madurai for an emergency appendicitis operation. However, for Harinisha's financially weak parents, the burden of medical expenses threatened to overshadow their hopes. Recognizing the urgency of the situation and the family's inability to bear the substantial medical costs, the trust swiftly provided the financial assistance to her mother Mrs. Sreedevi on 20th September 2023, needed to ensure that Harinisha received the necessary medical care. Prayers were said, raising the spirits of all in attendance and asking for blessings and peace for the departed soul. These are the people whose household things were washed away by the floods on account of the Michaung cyclone 2023.

These people were among those who sadly lost their home belongings as a result of the catastrophic flooding brought on by the 2023 Michaung cyclone. Mats, pillows, and bedsheets were among the sponsored products. These items are quite helpful for the workers who had suffered heavy losses after the natural disaster.
